What the duck?!

Sometimes one duck just isn’t enough.

After Wat kijk je nou?, this cheeky duck got an English-speaking sibling. I asked my Instagram community what this duck should say in English, and after lots of funny suggestions, one clear winner emerged: What the duck?!

The same duck. The same attitude. Just a different punchline.

This version has its own personality thanks to a completely new colour palette. Bright pink, vibrant yellow and bold turquoise give the print a playful, retro-pop feel that makes the duck impossible to ignore. It’s the kind of print that makes people smile before they’ve even read the speech bubble.

The print is made using the jigsaw (puzzle) printing technique, where separate pieces of lino are inked in different colours and brought together to create one complete image. Each colour is printed by hand, making every print a little celebration of bold colour and a lot of duck attitude.

Printing Method
Printed using the jigsaw (puzzle) printing technique. Each print is hand-printed using a Woodzilla handpress, making every piece one of a kind.

Because of the handmade process, colors and details may vary slightly. The print and paper may have imperfections, which are part of the charm of the work.

Each print is signed and numbered on the front. It’s not possible to choose a number.
