Sometimes you just need a duck with a little attitude.
Wat kijk je nou? (What are you looking at?)
I wanted to create something playful, a little cheeky and not too serious. The kind of print that makes you look twice and hopefully puts a smile on your face. I’m sure it will start a conversation when your guests see it in your living-room.
The duck seemed like the perfect character for it. Standing there, looking straight at you as if you’re the one doing something strange.
The print is made using the jigsaw (puzzle) printing technique, where separate pieces of lino are inked in different colors and brought together to create one complete image. The burnt sienna, yellow ochre and peach combination gives the print a bit of a retro feel.

Because of the handmade process, colors and details may vary slightly. The print and paper may have imperfections, which are part of the charm of the work.
Each print is signed and numbered on the front. It’s not possible to choose a number.
Colors may differ slightly from what you see on screen.
