This linoprint features the impressive Stevens Church, the heart of Nijmegen’s historic city center. With its distinctive tower and rich history, the church is a cherished symbol of the city. I captured it against a clear blue sky, with the Waal River in the foreground.

Printing Method
Printed using the Jigsaw printing method. A technique where separate pieces of linoleum are carved for each color. These pieces are carefully assembled like a puzzle during printing, allowing precise alignment and layered color effects. Each print is hand-printed, making every piece unique.

Each design is transferred by hand onto the linoleum block and carved using Pfeil gouges. Every print is hand-printed using a glass baren and sometimes a press. Due to the handmade process, colors and details may vary slightly, and the print and the paper may have imperfections, including slight color misalignment.  They are part of the character of the work.

Each print is signed and numbered on the front.
