By playing with the yellow ink layer, masking parts of the plate and showing traces of the roller, these variations reveal how small choices during printing can completely change the final artwork.
QUIET THEFT
The theft almost goes unnoticed.
Parts of the yellow ink layer were covered with a mask before printing. This leaves the yellow visible only on the seagull’s feet and the stolen stroopwafel.
TRACES
The thief left some evidence behind.
The width of the roller remains visible in the yellow layer, revealing a trace of the handmade printing process.
FULL CONFESSION
The evidence is undeniable.
The complete yellow lino plate has been printed. Nothing is hidden anymore: everything from both lino plates is visible. 😄
