Inspired by a walk with my best friend along the Rosandepad in Oosterbeek.
During our walk, I took photos and videos of the water, fascinated by the reflections of the trees above and the movement on the surface. At one point, a fish came up to catch a breath of air, leaving a small ripple in the water. I wanted to capture that moment and the movement within it in this print.
Reflect is my attempt to translate that atmosphere into a linocut, the reflections, the movement, and that fleeting moment on the water.

Printing Method
Printed using the reduction technique. Each layer of color is carved and printed sequentially on the same block, reducing the block after each color. This print consists of five layers of color. Every print is hand-printed using a Woodzilla handpress. It’s a process that requires careful planning, as each step permanently changes the block.
Because of the handmade process, colors and details may vary slightly, and the print and paper may have imperfections, which are part of the charm of the work.
Each print is signed and numbered on the front.
