This linoprint features a detail of my larger gladiolus print, printed using leftover ink from the original plate. A small, intimate piece taken from a much bigger work.
The print is made using the reduction printing technique, where the linoleum block is gradually carved away with each colour layer. This makes every edition finite and unrepeatable.
Each print is handprinted, signed and numbered on the front. Subtle variations in colour and texture are part of the process and make every print unique.
Using leftover ink and existing plates allows me to work as sustainably as possible, giving materials a second life while creating something new. A small artwork with its own story and character.
