For me, the magnolia marks the very beginning of spring: the first days of softer weather, stepping outside without a coat, and the feeling of waking up after winter. It’s a quiet signal to come out of hibernation and enjoy the beauty of nature in bloom again.
This is a puzzle print. The branches are carved on one block, combined with 16 separate puzzle pieces for the flowers, allowing each element to be inked individually.
I created six prints in this pink edition. Each one is unique, as I worked with hand-rolled colour gradients and, in some cases, added subtle extra colour by hand using a cotton swab. The prints differ in colour and atmosphere, resulting in variations in tone and feeling.

Printed using the jigsaw (puzzle) printing technique. Each print is hand-printed using a Woodzilla handpress, making every piece one of a kind.
Because of the handmade process, colors and details may vary slightly, and the print and paper may have imperfections, which are part of the charm of the work.
Each print is signed and numbered on the front.
