Meet the Holy Cow! 🐄
Inspired by the Galloways I sometimes encounter during my walks along the floodplains near Nijmegen. Beautiful animals, but a little intimidating when they happen to be standing right in the middle of the path I want to walk along!
The gold embossing makes this cow shimmer and catch your eye when the light hits it just right. A little touch of magic for a striking animal.

Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash inks and gold embossing powder
Printing Method
Printed using the multiblock technique. One lino block is used to print the cow, while the second and third blocks are used to apply transparent ink to the areas finished with gold embossing powder. The powder is then heated with a heat gun, melting into a beautiful, shimmering gold finish.
Each print is hand-printed using a Woodzilla handpress. Some areas picked up a little extra gold along the way. But who complains about a little extra gold? 😉
Because of the handmade process, colors and details may vary slightly, and the print and paper may have imperfections, which are part of the charm of the work.
Each print is signed and numbered on the front.
