About Me

Behind the prints

Hi! I’m Angela, living in Nijmegen (the Netherlands) with my husband and our twins. Over the years, I tried many different creative paths, but none of them truly held my attention. When I returned to linocut, a technique I first learned during my art education, it felt like coming home. The rhythm of designing, carving, and printing brings me focus, joy, and quiet moments of relaxation.

Nijmegen plays an important role in my work. Sometimes it’s clearly visible, sometimes hidden in small details that only locals might notice. The flower in my logo is a linoprint of a gladiolus, the symbol of the Nijmegen Four Days Marches. Walkers receive this flower when they reach the finish. It’s a tribute to perseverance and to the city I call home.

I’m trained as an art teacher, and while I don’t teach in a classroom, my background helps me guide workshops and share the joy of linoprinting. I also love sharing my process on Instagram, giving a behind-the-scenes look at how each print comes to life. If you’d like, you’re very welcome to follow along and see the prints, experiments, and moments of inspiration as they happen.

Hand-printed & Limited

Each print is hand-carved and printed by me, one by one. No two prints are exactly the same, and most editions are small and numbered.

Based in Nijmegen

I'm a printmaker based in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. My work is inspired by the city, it's parks, and the surrounding nature.

Environment Friendy

I create each print with care for both the craft and the planet. Leftover ink and paper, become unique miniprints, and most orders are shipped in reused or recycled packaging.

Worldwide Shipping

I carefully pack each order and send it off into the world within 5 business days (unless otherwise noted) so your print can start its new story with you as soon as possible.

The Process

From idea to print, every step is done by hand.

Designing

Every print starts digitally

I spend a lot of time on the design phase. I design digitally so I can experiment freely with refining compositions, adjusting details, and testing colour combinations on screen.

Carving

Using sharp gouges

The design is carved by hand into linoleum using Pfeil gouges, always kept sharp. It’s a slow, careful process that shapes the image step by step.

Printing

Using Caligo Safe Wask Ink

I roll out the ink, place the paper on the plate, and use a lever press and a glass baren. Each print is unique, with tiny variations in colour and texture.
